Let me sum up my opinions by saying .. everything about this season of idol SUCKED. i mean EVERYTHING. especially obviously the finale, which i did not watch & apparently i was smart not to. the end.

I saw Clive not mentioning Kellie, their 3rd best selling artist from season 5 (and most likely 2nd soon), as a slight snub but even moreso as just another indicator that Clive and his people have Kellie's promo on the backburner. Hey Clive if you pick up the promo a bit maybe you will be able to brag about Kellie's sales on next year's finale.

I thought they were one of the worst and they sucked. I liked Carrie, Kelly, Jordin and Ruben, Joe Perry, and Blake with Doug e fresh and The Beatles tribute were ok. Overall the entire finale sucked though and was very boring compared to last year.

I WAS SO UPSET KELLIE WASN'T MENTIONED!!! but the reason behind that is katharine,taylor,chris, & carrie are all under clive davis label. So kellie's success is a much bigger achivement because she didn't have the heavy promotion like clives artist did!!!

Here's what they are referring to. Clive is "President of RCA Records as well as J Records and Arista which makes up the RCA Music Group which he runs." Clive Davis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He's also chairman of BMG, which all of them are under, but yeah something tells me Kellie would have better promo if she were with RCA or Arista. Someone said those labels are bigger than BNA.

I don't think so. Kellie's definitely gotten more promotion than Taylor. And maybe even more than Kat. And they're all under 19E which I would assume handles at least some of the publicity.

I've seen Taylor get more promo in some areas and less in others, but I've heard that he has a different type of deal than Chris and Kat. Of course Taylor and Kat were idol winner and runner up, which alone is worth more promo, at least for about 6 months. Taylor sold a bunch of singles just off that exposure. Taylor chose not to record his album for months after Kellie although he's been a tour headliner for months. He doesn't have a music video but he has some session videos. His 1st single took a long time to release to radio. However Taylor and Kat's myspaces were never ignored like Kellie's was for 5 months, and their websites were up much sooner and are better. Most people might not realize how bad this was, but I think internet promo is very important for Kellie, Kat, and Chris. I see 4 songs on Kat's myspace and 2 on Kellie's, many videos and blog updates on Kat's, and just the RHH video on Kellie's. Kellie's myspace and website still doesn't have the I Wonder video 2 months after it was released, nor is it on Sony BMG's own site Home | Musicbox: Powered by Sony BMG Why not? Probably because RCA and Arista do a much better job with these things. Kat also has Yahoo music and AOL sessions. Seems to me that RCA and Arista are the best, or maybe TPTB are just being way too cheap with Kellie's promo.
