Yeah, it's sad Kellie wasn't mention and last night's performance was a complete wash and boring! The only thing that I that like was the Blake's beat boxing show. That's was pretty cool because it was different an unique. Other than that, there really wasn't any surprise or creativity as the year before. The theme was simply bring in the winners of the past I almost knew everything that was going to be on. Well, not really, but it seems that way, haha. Moreover, I didn't like the fillers at all with bringing the wannabee singers and giving them awards. They did the same thing last year, but then it was new and it worked out well. However, this year it was simply tiresome. Once is enough for me and I think a lot of people would agree. I also didn't like that they squeeze every freak'n commercial on the planet on there. Geez guys! Pretty much that's what they were really after.
I was expecting Britney and Chris D. to be there to spice things up a little or even one of the Circus Soleil performances (that would have been awesome), but they just played it safe with Kelly and Carrie as the main "attraction". I had to litterally fast forward the part when Clive was on.
With regards to "Puck and Pickler" type of skit, I thought when they showed Sanjaya that it was going to be it, but instead they just show a bunch of outranges clips of him and then he just sang one of his songs. At least sing a different song man, haha!
I think they dried up their creativity and resources because of the Idol gives back show.
Anyway, I want my two hours and some change back, lol!
LoL i was like "WHAT" when he mentioned Taylor and kat who are like nowhere on charts. And there was no mention of kellie. And the finale overall was just ok.
A agree with most of what has been said. Loved the Green Day song. I knew about them but never paid much attention. I'm gonna have to look into getting some of their music.
On more of a downer note....now don't get me wrong, I love Kelly Clarkson, and most of what she has done. But her two songs sounded more like yelling than singing. I heard the angry song...can't even remember the name now....several weeks ago when someone posted the link here. Didn't like it then, didn't like it the second time last night. There won't be a third time if I can help it. Still, I look forward to looking at her new material and seeing if she can duplicate some of her excellent earlier work.
Carrie and Green Day and Tony Bennett (for those in my generation)...simply outclassed the rest of the musical guests.
im beginning to think that AI doesn't take Kellie seriously. She should've been mentioned last night especially before Taylor. They dont play any of his music here. And point blank, he sucked last night. the entire show sucked except Carrie and Kelly's performances, along w/ Greenday and the Ruben/Jordin duet, and Jordin's winning song.

Hey Rob, check out Kelly's vid of NEVER AGAIN on YouTube. It's great. I love it. Can't tell ya how many times I've played it & mumbled, "Yeah, get the ". On vid, you might like it.
Yeah I noticed that too and I thought it sucked. Kellie should have been mentioned. I think as a whole the finale wasn't as good as last years. But I did love Kelly and Carrie and the whole tribute thing with the Idols. I loved anything having to do with Jordin and I loved seeing Haley again(Even if it should have been longer IMO). I didn't like Taylor at all. If that's what his CD sounds like, Its no wonder his sales are failing. it was extremely boring IMO.

Unfortunately, I don't think a whole lot of people take Kellie seriously (including the country music industry).
You got that right.
There seems to be a general consensus in the industry to get Kellie to appear in productions - she'll be great for the show... but don't let her sing. That makes me mad and I wonder how long Kellie will tolerate it because it has become very noticeable.
I also noticed and was very disappointed and surprised that Kellie wasn't mentioned. She should have been.
And Robert, I agree with your assessment of Kelly Clarkson. That song was terrible. She yelled through the whole song. It was horrible, and I like Kelly.
Taylor was on the show because he was last year's winner. Of course he was there, and he had a right to be. It's not nice to gloat because Kellie's sales might be better than his. Yes I'm a Taylor fan as well as a Kellie fan and it hurts to hear him talked about that way. Just like it hurts when peop
