I'm new to the ratings. Am I correct that since IW has sold over 500,000 copies it will be recognized as Gold ?

Also, can anyone tell me where to get current sales information for singles an albumns ?

Kellie's album, Small Town Girl, has gone Gold for selling 500,000 copies. However, so far, none of Kellie's single have gone Gold.

Most of the available sales numbers are posted on the Pulse Music forums. The digital sales for the top 50 songs are posted in the weekly Hot 100 thread. When available, the album sales numbers are posted in the Billboard 200 thread. However, album sales numbers are a little hit-or-miss. Some weeks, we get the sales for the entire Billboard 200. Other weeks, we will only get some rounded off values from Billboard or USA Today. These threads are in the General Music News section on Pulse.

According to today's Idol Chatter from USA Today, IW sold 6.9K copies this week for a total of about 60K.
