Good he needs to be punished, you can't run spreading stereotypes and hatred.

songs by Gangsta rappers contain more racial negative overtones than what he stated. Is Sharpton going after them next? I doubt it.

That's is so true.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of weeks.

Theres a huge difference between words meant for artistic expression and words which serve no purpose but to slander and hurt people. He called out young women who have been working their butts off and blatantly disrespected them.

Then why does Oprah refuse to have them on her show?

Why did Ludacris give a condescending special shout out to Oprah and O'Rielly at the grammys after winning his award?

Are you telling me that their lyrics not harmful and insulting to young women?

No they are harmful to young women and if it were my choice I'd ban it, but its a form of artistic expression which is much more difficult to censor. The songs aren't written expressly to harm people and his comment was made just to hurt someone.

Someone can make a decision to boycott something because they disagree with what is being said or the way they choose to express themselves, but I think its a totally different issues to begin censoring artists, censoring so called reporters is one thing, but artists takes it to a whole different level where I don't think the line would be quite so black and white.

what do you know, it happened. I saw it on t.v. Al Sharpton IS going after the rappers next. It's going to be a bloodbath in the courtrooms; first amendment right, artistic expression, blah blah blah. This will put a lot of rappers out of business - these guys can't do anything else but rap. Make way on the unemployment line.

I wonder what too him so long and if he will really go after them or not? I'm afraid that he will stop short really doing something as he has in the past when it came down to this subject matter.

Snoop has already come out and said that because he is african-american that he can call women whatever he wants.

Imus was a basicly a disc jockey and the MSNBC show was a live simulcast of the radio show.

It will be interesting and yes a bloodbath in the court rooms if it gets there.
