LOS ANGELES (February 20, 2007) – Pop singer Britney Spears has checked into rehab Access Hollywood has learned.

Spears' manager Larry Rudolph confirmed to Access that the pop star is now a patient at a rehab facility. They did not disclose which facility she is at.

"Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility," a statement Rudolph released to Access read. "We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time."

Spears found herself in media overload after she visited a rehab facility in the Carribbean last week, but did not stay.

After returning to Los Angeles last Friday, Spears made even more headlines after she was caught buzzing her own hair off at a Tarzana salon before getting another tattoo.Her hair cutting move led to calls for concern from many in the Hollywood community, including late night talk show host Craig Ferguson who refused to make jokes about her crop on his television program.

"For me, comedy should have a certain amount of joy in it," Ferguson said. "It should be about attacking the powerful -- the politicians, the Trumps, the blowhards -- going after them. We shouldn't be attacking the vulnerable."

Ferguson recalled his battle with alcoholism and said he worries Spears may be having troubles of her own.

"Now I'm not saying Britney is alcoholic, I don't know what she is -- alcoholic or not -- but she clearly needs help," he said.

Other stars including Jamie Kennedy told Access Hollywood over the weekend, they were concerned for her well being.

"I think she's going through a rough patch right now and I hope she gets with her family and just kind of decompress because there's just a lot going on with her," Kennedy said. "I wish her well."

Hopefully she'll stay in rehab this time. I'm glad she's getting help and I hope she recovers through all this. It's not easy when people go through this but it makes it harder when people are following your every move 24/7.

Ryan Seacrest just stated, on his radio show, that the rehab that Britney went to costs 35k per month. Holy Moley!, I could stay there for maybe 3 minutes.

Woah thats alot! But im so glad shes getting help no matter what the cost is.

Ryan Seacrest really pissed me off yesterday when he made that comment about Britney at the end of American Idol last night. No matter what the circumstances were there was absolutely NO reason that he should have called out Britney like that in front of 40 million people. He has absolutely no place to do that no matter what. I really cant stand him anymore

Unfortunately she has left rehab again.

She seems really troubled right now and just hope she let's herself get help before it's too late.
