Ryan Seacrest

ok...what to think about him... i know probaly everyone here has an opinion about Ryan, i put some, i liked him a lot, especially season 3... now he seems full of himself... what do you guys think?

Yeah I've always liked Ryan. The producers tell him what to say during the show and give him a script every week on the show. In my opinion Ryan hosting Idol kinda puts him in a bad light if you don't know any better. He does come off like he's full of it but he's not. I've had the chance to meet him on several occasions while I lived in LA and he's a very nice guy. He really does care about the contestants and wants to see them do well. He's a sweetheart!

about the script you are probaly right, they suck and i remember a few times that even Simon made a joke about that... i know he probaly cares about the contestants... i loved on season 3 how much he cared about Jasmine when she cried... i only think that he's acting different from the beggining.

I know this is off topic but I think the judges get scripts too. Ryan did seem more warmer and nicer in the beginning. He's coming off a little cold now. I sense that started in Season 5. But I think that's due to the scripts. Idol has changed dramatically. As times goes on, the producers want to control each and everything from the contestants to the votes to even what Ryan and the judges say now. They have really turned their manipulations to a whole new level and that's why their ratings are falling down. Things would be better if they just let things fall in place naturally. They have always been manipulative since day 1 but these past two seasons their manipulations and because they want to control the outcome of every little single thing are so much more worse than it's ever been.

I tend to agree with you on this.

I was pretty mad at him for a while, but overall, I think he does care about the contestants.

I also know that sometimes it's too easy, when you're making jokes, to go over the line. I've had friends and at least one family member that just don't know when to stop. And I've probably done that myself.

Ryan is PAID to make bad jokes. But I'm sure they don't pay him by the joke, so if he would just learn a little restraint, especially when it comes to Kellie, I can forgive him.

Ry may seem phony with the contestants but I agree w/ Ashlae AI is scripted! If u listen to Ryan's American Top 40 show you'll realize he's a sweet guy! I had a lil crsuh on him when I was 8!
