I agree with Sharon, I think David A is overrated and overpraised from the judges too. It's sicking to see the judges cream themselves over him everytime he sings. They NEVER acted like that with Kelly Clarkson. Kristy is underrated because many people still don't give her credit even after she was eliminated. Go to any forum or blog and you'll see a bunch of Kristy bashing, I do all the time. Kellie fans were always more likely to root for Kristy because of the same gerne they sing. Weather you like her or not, She really did step up her game and she turned me into a fan of hers just like Syesha is doing now.
EDIT: I wanted to make something clear. I do think David A is very talented singer and I do think he's a sweet kid. That's why I'm hoping the ''daddy'' rumors are NOT true because if they are true, I feel sorry for him and I hope he can ''breakaway''. I agree with Mike that I wish he waited to audition. I think he needs time to grow and mature as an artist. I actually think him losing would be better for his career than winning. He's very Josh Groban-lite so he'll probably put an album out similar to his music.

You know, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion! Simon a few times did call David A karioke and mediocre. I dont think they have overpraised him at all and imo he is awesome. I dont listen to pop music that much but yesterday, on the way home from work in the car, I turned the radio to a pop music station and I heard plenty of songs that David A could do very well with. So please guys, opinions are one thing but we have to realize that they are our own. There is no right or wrong with music; just different tastes. My daughter hates country and makes fun of me and she is 30. And i hate the rap and crap she listens to but she grew up in that era.
I, too, think David A, while obviously being a very nice kid, is simply too immature. He has a good voice although, in my opinion, it's not extraordinary. He seems to be almost exclusively a crooner, and I'm just not a big fan of that style.
Jason was my favorite this season and I was SOOOOOO glad to see him outlast several people, especially Brooke and Kristy. He didn't have time to build a fanbase as fast as some contestants because his audition never aired so we didn't seem him until the top 24 aired. So I think he did pretty well for himself. He didn't do that great for the past 2 weeks, especially this past week, obviously. I wish people would give him a chance, though. He's different and unique but that doesn't make him a bad singer. He obviously doesn't sing the same style of music that David Archuleta or Brooke sings, but that doesn't mean he sucks. I'm so glad he lasted longer than people expected him to and I can't wait to see him in the finale and on tour!

I saw Kellie on 7/6/06, 9/2/07 and finally saw her in concert again and met her on 1/17/08!
Well Brooke and Kristy were my favoriates so I HATED That Jason outlasted them, as I don't think he deseved to... Especially Kristy, who was REALLY improving week after week. She may have been the under dog but she came a long way and stepped up her game every week she was on. I wish people would have given her the credit she deserved but most people were more interested in seeing the negative then taking the time to actually listen to her voice. lol. She got props from Lee Greenwood, Jason Aldean and Tanya Tucker Too. And IMO anyone who can take a Martina McBride Song And Sing It Well, Then They've Got something. She's Not Easy To Sing. lol.
And Just For The Record, I Really Tried To Give Jason The Chance Some People Said He Deserved. And For A While I Actually Liked Him. But Ever Since SOTR, He Went Downhill And I Just Couldn't Get Into Him. lol. We All Have Our Preferences Though. And I still hold firm to my belief that Kristy, Brooke,Michael, Carly and David C Will be the best selling grop from season 7. But that's me. lol.
