This was soooo unexpected Carly was my favorite and it shouldnt have been her!! It should've been Jason or Brooke! America did the wrong thing in my opinion!

I wasn't that upset to see Carly go. She's very talented but I could never get into her or her performances.

For some reason America does not connect with syesha. She was great on tuesday. America does not seem to care for Carly either. I think jason NEEDS to go! I want the fianle to be Brooke and David Cook!

As I have said before it ends up being a popularity contest for the most part; the fans voting, especially real young ones, can sit on their cell phones for the duration of the voting time voting for their favs hundreds of times. Even though I was not a Carly fan, I must admit that she was better than Jason and Brooke this week but the two I just mentioned have unique styles and maybe that's what is liked. I also think Carly might have turned some people off with a bit of an attitude and the tattoos and singing Jesus Christ Superstar. I guess we can never predict what will happen on Idol!

This is exactly how I felt when Kristy got voted off. I was totally devastated and couldn't stop crying through the whole results show. And then I was just angry. lol. I'm over that now but it took some time and needless to say I understand how you feel. We all have our favoriates. lol. And even though I'm not really a fan of Carly anymore, I do think she has potential. I honestly think the reason she's not in it, is because a lot of her performances turn into just plain screaming. If she could knock off the screaming and just sing then she might still be here. lol. But with that being said, I wasn't really that surprised that she left when I saw who the bottom two were. I would have prefered it to be Syesha but for some reason she just can't leave. lol.

And Ernie, I completely agree with you. I LOVE Brooke and I think she'll be a HUGE Star just like Kristy. After all, look at Jennifer Hudson... She placed seventh and is doing WONDERFUL. I would like Brooke in the finale with David Cook. I think David A will leave in third place. lol. And I agree with what Simon said about Brooke. She made herself human. When someone can make a mistake and admit it instead of trying to cover it up, it makes them relatable IMO. And that's what gets these contestants votes. Kristy did the same thing on Ellen when she sang the same verse twice and then kept going like nothing ever happened and then when the song ended, laughing at herself and saying sorry to Ellen. lol. I think that makes them both more relatable and I will always support them both.

god, i just got over micheal john's elimination. Carly is the collest. maybe u remeber this... season five she was on AI ony during Hollywood week. this was before she was married. goole her and type carly henssen. she was good. maybe a sign from above... idk. ppl who finish aroud 5th and 6th r succesful. only one winner is famous: carrie underwood. my opionion. ok.

Kelly Clarkson is also the another famous successful winner just like Carrie. They are the only 2 successful winners. The other contestants who've been successful didn't win.

I didn't consider it at the time, but Carly's song choice may very well be the determining factor in her elimination. I can see how some people might be offended by that song. If this is the case, then it's unfortunate for her that ALW suggest she select a different song from her original choice.

I for one am glad that Syesha is still in the running. She has ALL the right stuff to win. Voice , looks and style. What is it about her that she hasn't been more popular.

Jason needs to go home! Carley should have stayed shes amazing! vote for the worst is supporting brooke, which is good and bad at the same time. I love brooke and I want her to win, but I dont want her to win unfairly.

I am a Christian but Carly's song choice didn't offend me. I can see why it would offend others though.

Why would what Carly sang offend someone? She sang a positive song about jesus. ^ Ashlae, Jordin Sparks IS a sucessful winner!!!!!

The song Carly sang was supposed to represent the views of Judas, the man who betrayed Jesus.

But still, I am a strong Christian and it didn't offend me in the slightest. So, I really don't think that was why she was voted off.

If anything surprised me this week, it would be that neither Jason or Brooke was in the 'bottom 2', especially Jason because he just simply stinks and he was at his stinkiest this week. If you can look beyond Brooke's false start, the heart of her performance was quite good.

As far as Carly having the fewest votes and being eliminated is concerned, I wasn't at all surprised. She has had a list of negatives piling up for weeks, ranging from off-putting performances, to excessive tattoo display, to those shots of her ghoulish and disfigured husband. I was way more surprised the week before when Kristy Lee was eliminated after out-performing the majority of the field the past 3 or 4 weeks and always improving on her previous performance.

The Thing Is That If It Hadn't Been For Michael and Kristy Being Eliminated And Syesha And Jason Still Being In It, I Would have Thought She Left In Exactly The Right Place. lol. My top 5 Were the Two Davids, Michael, Brooke and Kristy. I Have Nothing Against carly And When She Can Actually Manage To Not Scream She's A Decent Singer. But Those Tatoo's Didn't Do Her Any Favors. And Lately I've Just Felt Like She's Been Full Of Anger. And Even Though That Performance Didn't Offend ME, I Could Understand How It Could Offend Others. I Was Far More Shocked When kristy Was Eliminated, As Even Haters Said She Was The Best Of The Girls And Was Improving Week After Week. And Every Prediction Site Had her Safe. Carly Was Predicted In Last Place This Week. And Even Though I Would Have Prefered Jason Or Syesha Leaving, I Wasn't THAT Surprised That It Was Carly. I Honestly Think They Got It Wrong three Weeks In A Row Though. LOL.
