Top 7 Results...(not to expect)
It was a night of music and laughs until David A reached the stage and given the choice to pick the safe group,he sat right in the middle of the stage prompting a sit in finally with the safe group after David and Syesha were to swamp groups. It seemed like the kiss of death with Syesha,Brooke and Kristy all in the bottom 3.
Kristy fans didn't think one moment that Kristy should even remotely be there in the bottom 3,as she had been saved the past two weeks previously.(I'm a Kristy Fan).
Syesha was saved leaving Brooke and Kristy left standing.I for one thought it was Brooke's night to leave, unfortunately,Kristy was sent packing and definately deserved to go at least another week yet.
Kristy had some momentium going and she was improving. This too happend to our Kelliegirl in season 5.
I'm so proud of Kristy getting this far,as Simon once predicted that Kristy would come in 10th place,Simon ate his words tonight.
Miss Kristy gave Simon a dose of his medicine in her very last performance, that was classy of her,and Simon was left with a grin on his face.
We're all going to miss you Kristy, you've always been the underdog and we love you.

Well, my reason for watching AI, this season is over. I might tune it in if I'm totally bored. Whatever happens from now on, for this season, I really don't care.
Please don't take this as bitterness; it's just a fact.

Now I know the show is rigged , there is no way that Kristy got the least votes with that performance. The only saving grace for me this season to keep watching is Brooke.

I don't think the show is rigged. I think Kristy was too little too late. In the past few weeks she's really stepped up her game, but when you look at the other contestants who had shinning moments earlier in the season, they developed a larger fanbase.
At a Livejournal community I belong to there was a poll about who deserved to go home out of 205 votes 153 said Kristy Lee should have gone home.
I'm sorry for her fans, but at least she went out on a high note.

After taking all the factors and and politics into account, I'm very suspicious of the results. Although I don't have huge amounts of faith in DialIdol, they had her 'safe' by a mile with 3 others ranked below her. Also, why did Ryan refer to Kristy and Brooke as the 'final two' and not the 'bottom two', he also never used the term 'lowest number of votes'.
AI wants a few specific people in their Top 6, and if Kristy had taken it up a notch again during Andrew Lloyd Webber week while the others continued to underachieve, they would have had a very difficult time keeping Carly and Syesha in there, especially with their lack of personality and questionable attitudes holding them back. I'm guessing they want Brooke out next, but that could be difficult considering Brooke would likely pick up a large portion of Kristy's vote.
Nigel Lythgoe seemed to know in advance about Michael Johns being eliminated last week so there isn't any great degree of authenticity screening being performed to ensure validity. The ratings will continue to fall for AI if some sort of tampering is uncovered, actually much worse.
Anyway, I'm more happy for Kristy than anything and she totally deserved to get this far too. I'll be anxiously waiting for her cd to come out.

Nigel's the executive producer. He's the one who is given the final vote numbers. So he knows the results almost immediately after the votes are cast.

KLC's elimination caught me by surprise, but I don't think her exit was rigged.
In seven seasons, we've seen other people go home after a great performance.
I think it's a shame that Kristy went home this week, and I'll admit I'm feeling guilty now because I didn't vote this week.
This season, I just started watching about a month ago. I think Kristy has been as good as anyone, if you average out their highs and lows, over that time.
Kristy had impressed me with the way she was handling the burden of being the one that the spin doctors and the press had decided should have gone home already. It sure didn't hurt her that she was the one last country singer left.
I was thinking I'd even start voting for her next week if she kept this up.
I would have voted this week except ... I was tired from staying up late watching the CMTs the night before, and Kristy had a good performance and so lots of other people were in far more danger and .... Ooops.
I should have known better.
So, how many other people like me are out there?
Or who didn't vote as much this week because they thought she was safe? Or voted for someone else they liked because they thought the other person was in greater danger of leaving?
This kind of elimination happens every year. I wish I could go back in time a few days and help her out. But ...
Anyway ...
I'm glad Kristy got a chance to show she was far better than than her "8 Days A Week" performance. She seems like a nice girl. She handled herself with class throughout. I hope she gets a record deal. In fact, I think she will and there's a really good chance I'll buy her CD.
I sincerely wish her well.

I just don't know about American Idol anymore. Kristy was my favorite and I was honestly and truly horrified and mad that she left last night! I think her exit was rigged, because I voted for 2 hours and could not hardly get through because of busy signals. Also, I always try everyones line once with the exception of Kristy to see who's is busy. The David's, Jason C., and Kristy were the only busy signals. I will still tune in to AI, but it just won't be the same.

Everyone has their own opinion but mine is that they got this week's right on the money. I think Syesha will be gone next week.
