When Chikezie went home I was Sad but knew his days were coming to an end, I love Kristy but know she is not a front runner!I also LOVE Michael Johns,David C, and Brooke White! They are front runners if u had told me yesterday that Michael wpuld be in the bottom I would have told u u were insane, let alone Michael going home! I cried and cried when Ryan sent Carly ans Styeesha to safety, hoping it was all a joke or that because it's "Idol Gives back Week" Michael wpuld be safe! AI will never be the same without him! Yep, I was as shocked as everyone else. Did you see the reaction from Carly? She couldn't believe it.
Personally, I felt that the guy with the rope hair should have gotten the boot. All 3 judges loved his ukulele performance. I just left the room & made a sandwich. It made me think of Tiny Tim........Ewwww!

The problem is when you sing a song that doesn't connect with the vast viewing voting public. I thought it was going to be Carly IMHO. I personally feel this season has turned into a popularity contest instead of talent. As I said before only 2 people excite me enough to buy their Albums and that's Brooke and Kristy. I know many will disagree with me, but I feel they will have great careers in the road they are about to travel. I like both of these young ladies style of Music.

Being a member of some other forums, I was always shot down by my stand, that Kellie would be a big star. And WE as Kelliebeans were right.

I hope that the Kristy Haters will leave her alone.

I was SHOCKED when they said he was leaving. Honestly, I thought it would be Carly. I know there's a lot of fans on this board so I'll leave it to a minimal but I thought she was HORRIBLE. I wouldn't have been surprised if Syesha left either. Kristy, on the other hand is extremely under- rated. Whether she makes it much further in the competition or not isn't even the point. I'm already looking forward to her album. lol. Michael will definitly have a career someday. Just look at what happened with Chris. lol. Even though He wasn't my favoriate(Though he WAS my favoriate guy), I still think he should have gone further then he did. JMO

COMPLETELY AGREE. And one of the reasons I like them so much is because I feel like they are the whole package. Being an Idol is about more then just being a GREAT singer. You've got to bring something different to the table if you want to succeeed. And IMO, these two have got it in spades. I have no doubt that they'll be successful. And then all the Kristy haters can eat their words. lol.

This is just a question, because I'm a little confused. What does wanting to buy someone's cd have to do with talent? I mean I understand to a certain extent. But I would never in a million years want to buy David Cook's cd because I don't like the type of music he sings, but I can't deny the fact that in my opinion he is the 2nd most talented person in the competition. Heck I'd probably be more likely to buy Kristy's cd because I like the type of music she sings than i would be willing to buy Jason Castros cd (who is my 3rd favorite in the competition) but I still think Jason has more talent than Kristy.

I guess what I'm asking is isn't being willing to buy a cd more indicative of your personal taste than talent? Or am I missing something?

No matter what Simon says, Idol IS a popularity contest and not just a singing talent contest. Remember when he said to Kellie, "you are a naughty little minx. and " your are not the best singer...but you are INTERESTING ", OR " actually I prefer you to last years winner" ! I don't think there is anything wrong with being for the contestant that you like the most. Carly is a really good singer, but I don't want her to be the winner because I find it hard to like her.

Idol has always been a popularity contest. Every year there is one contestant that makes it further than they "should" because of their fanbase. The only time I find it a shame is when those fans don't turn around and buy the contestants album. Otherwise, its just playing to the system that Idol set up.

I think America really got it wrong. As of now, I had him finishing about 3rd. Of course that could have changed in the coming weeks. My top 2 right now are David C. and Carly. Of course I realize Carly probably won't finish that high because, unfortunately, there are too many people that dislike her because of her tattoos, her husband's tattoos, and the fact she was not born in America. As unreasonable as it is, in my opinion, I think not being born in America also may have hurt Michael.

Can't forget the fact that she already had a record deal so her chance was blown. Never mind the fact that several contestants have also had record deals, including Kristy Lee, David C, and Brooke.
