Just got back from the show:)

Well Guys, I was fortunate to be at the live show last night as a guest of one of my old recording buddies (Works for GAC TV). What a great experience, my wife and I had a blast. We sat 2 rows behind Taylor Swift. It's something most Idol fans need to see. Kristy really brought down the house with "Anyway" David A. was awesome. Brooke is really pretty in real life and up close. Kristy ran to the stage edge just as they went off air and really connected with the fans buy talking and shaking hands. Carly's husband is scary, my wife didn't like him at all. Simon, much more the nice guy then he's portrayed on TV. Got to shake his hand when they came in to be seated.
Ryan and Simon are a riot off air. Simon Lythgoe<? runs a tight ship. I'm a real techie and was impressed by the remote cameras and how they worked. Last but not least, the sound in the Studio is fantastic. It's really quite good. IMHO, David A. Kristy, and Jason did the best job. Well, I'm still in Chicago, and they just announced our flight.

I am a semi-techie, myself. I've done sound/lighting for some of our local theaters. As you probably know, it has it's headaches but mostly it's a lot of fun.

Did you actually talk to Carly's husband? I'd heard he was actually a very sweet guy.

Nigel is an incredible guy. I got to meet him when I went to visit Jaimie Goodwin in LA during SYTYCD.

Carly's husband might be a nice guy but really, without prejedice, he is very scary to look at. I just wonder what these people are thinking: someday he will be a grandfather and be walking around like that! I just dont get it.

I Would Have Killed To See That Show Live. LOL. I Agree With Your Choices For The Best Of The Night. I'm Glad You Had Fun. I've Seen Pictures Of Carly's Husband And He Was Scary Looking Then. I Can Only Imagine What He Looks Like In Person. lol

I agree that he is scary to look at. But I try to get past that, I hate it when people get judged on their physical appearances instead of their personality.

Oh wow! I didn't know you were going to the show!!! Lucky! And what a great night to be there! I love Jason and he did really well last night!!

That means you almost made it on air because they showed Taylor in the audience! lol

I reallllly hope I get to see a live show someday. Several of my friends and I have been entering a bunch of contests to be at the finale.

Oh and did you happen to see Lacey Schwimmer? She was sitting right behind Simon.

Well I made it home in one piece, trying to catch up on work E-mails

Heather, what I meant to say was Carly's husband was hard to look at. I'm sure he's an alright guy.

Amanda, Yes I did see Lacey, however, you could not get near them. Everytime they would go to commercial they would get swamped for autographs. I stopped trying when I got stepped on by a High heel, ouch!!
It was a last minute trip, my buddy is a big doner to Idol Gives Back, and was able to secure the invite for 4 people. I forgot to say that Taylor is super beautiful in real life, just like Brooke. I had my daughter record the show so I'll if I can see myself, but if it's anything like they showed on the monitors they had a tight shot of Taylor.

Well, need to get back and do some real work, since I had to take off 2 days from my real Job.
