Does anyone think that they won't eliminate anyone because of Idol Gives Back? That's what they did last year.

I hope its not Carly that goes home. She had a misstep last night, but on every other night she's been flawless. My money's on Syesha going home. Her smaller fanbase, choice of song (honestly singing "I Believe" on the Idol stage is a horrible move. Fantasia had the most emotional performance ever on the show with it), plus she's only .3 ahead of Carly.

They don't eliminate anyone tonight but the show is on again tomorrow night and they send someone home then.

it's not rock science, but it does come close. You have to consider the margin of error. A couple of times in the past few years, it was wrong in calculating the lowest person. Also, it doesn't take into account all the text votes. But it's going to be very close between the two of them.

I think it said they only test a sample of 20,000 people, so there are more users, but they can't study them all.

there 10-20 million DVR systems in the USA. TIVO has a market share of about 30-40% of that. 20,000 isn't very much.

I had to YouTube it this week rather than watch it on TV.

I liked Kristy and Jason best this week. No one blew me away, but I didn't think anyone was horrible either.

Kristy finally made me believe that she believed the words she was singing. I think she did everything right this week.

I really haven't liked anything that Jason has done up to this point, and this "Rainbow" version is a personal favorite of mine. I rolled my eyes when Jason started, but found I actually liked it. So, for surprising me with a standout tribute to the late Israel Kamakawiwo'ole instead of karaoke, I have to give Jason big-time props.

Won't make a prediction on who goes home because I don't have a good feel for that this week.

Nothing against who actually went home, but I like it when TMZ looks foolish.
