Let me just start off by saying that the weekend of 9/22 was the BEST weekend I've ever had and no, I'm not exaggerating.
I got up early on Saturday, 9/22 to get ready for the idol tour! I was sooo excited. I had a few things to do but I wanted to get to the arena early because I wanted to have a good chance of meeting the idols. I got ready, printed out a picture of each idol, and then left!
I got to the arena around noon. I was planning on meeting up with Jess and her friends! I went to the front and they were there. I was soooo happy to finally meet her! lol
I just want to say that I think the idol junkies are an amazing group of girls. I was looking at all their outfits, posters, and gifts. They are unbelievably dedicated.
They had been out front for a while so then I went with them to go wait by the busses. It was a while because they were saying that the idols had gone to a performance of Wicked the night before in Boston. They were a little later than usual (I think) because of that. They started pulling in around 2-ish. (I don't LaKisha went because she came earlier by herself in a car. She rolled down the window a tiny bit and said hi but I didn't know it was her until after. haha) So the girls bus drives past us and Melinda and Jordin were waving to the fans! It was pretty cool to see them. I didn't see anyone on the guys bus, although I'm sure they were in there.
We couldn't see anything so I went with Jess and a few other girls to tgo to the top of the hill. I saw Chris Richardson get off the bus and go inside, as well as Phil. At that point, 2 of my friends that went with me showed up. Literally 3 seconds after we saw people running where we were before towards the fence. Jordin was coming! So we sprinted allll the way back down the hill and got a place right in front of the fence. She finally came up to me and my friends. She is soooooo incredibly nice. She took a pic with us and I told her how amazing I think "Tattoo" is. haha
A little while later we heard that Blake was out front, so one of the junkies and I casually walked out to the front so nobody would realize what we were doing. haha My other 2 friends came, too. We saw Blake and sprinted to him. He had taken a few pics with fans but when we got to him, he said, "Sorry guys...I have a show to do." Apparently, he was already late for the meet & greet and didn't have time to stop.
We waited outside until 5 and my friends and I were getting hungry so we went to grab something to eat. (I find out later that Melinda came out a few minutes after we left.
) We got back to the arena around 6. Before we went in, we got a free pic taken of us. lol Then we went inside and checked out all the cool stuff they had going on. I signed Blake's, Chris Rich's, Gina's and Sanjaya's (I felt bad lol) message boards. Then we bought some merch. I only bought a poster and a keychain because I was flat out broke from making t-shirts. (I had to make 3 because I ruined the first 2. lol) We couldn't wait any longer so then we went to tour seats. They were amazingggg. (We get the same seats for any event because my uncle bought club seats in that section.)
The show started right at 7. I liked the idols from season 6 SO much more after seeing them live. That always happens. lol Like I really strongly disliked Sanjaya on the show but after seeing him live, I think he's pretty decent. He's a really good entertainer and knows how to make people laugh. Even Haley...she wasn't my favorite on the show but she sounded better live. I always thought LaKisha and Melinda had amazing voices but wow...t.v. doesn't even do them justice. When LaKisha sang "I Will Always Love You," I got major goosebumps.
I still liked my favorites the most, though...Blake, Chris Rich, Jordin, and Gina. <3

I've heard from some people that the season 5 tour was better. Even though I LOVE Kellie, I have to say that I think this year's tour was better. There weren't as many solos as last year but I liked the group numbers they had this year. They sang some more contemporary songs as well, which made it fun.
At the end of the show, my friends and I went back to wait by the busses, hoping that at least 1 of the idols would come out. None of them did, even after we waited for at least 45 minutes.
I think Jordin stuck her head out but I don't really remember. I know that Phil left after because we saw him putting his kids into his car and then he drove by, rolled down his window, and waved at everyone.
My friends and I were kind of sad that we didn't get to see anyone else up close, even though we were able to meet Jordin. On the way back to my car, we passes the hotel they were staying at and saw the busses parked right outside. We SPRINTED across the street. My friend had her sign for Sanjaya and he walked right past us and smiled. He was about to sign something for my friend but his security guard yelled at him to keep moving. Then we saw Chris Rich and Blake signing in the lobby so we went in and got their autographs and a picture! I was sooooo exited.
I only wanted to meet Gina because then I could say that I got to meet my 4 favorites from this season! I saw one of the junkies and she told me Gina was outside. I ran outside and there she was! It looked like she had already signed for a few peple and taken some pictures. Right when I got up to her, she said, "Sorry guys...just let me settle in." I thought that meant she would be back but she left for good.
Then the hotel kicked out everyone that wasn't buying a room. haha
We had the most amazing night. I didn't even think the next day could top it...
