An Amazing Night

ok. wow. first of all I had no idea I was gonna see the idols. YEsterday, at about 10 30 my instructor called and said he wanted me to come by and work on some stuff with him. So mom and I got in the car and drove over there. When I got there he handed me a ticket. I looked at it kinda confused and saw it was for American Idol!!! I think he saw my eyes like jump out of my head haha. Then my mom told me how her and my instructor had bought the tickets as an early birthday present for me. I was still a little shocked over it and I look down at the ticket again and it said Aug 23 (which was yesterday) and at the Blue Cross Arena. I asked my mom where that was and she said Rochester! So went out and ate lunch and then by 12 30-1ish we left. It was a four hour drive, but i had my ipod with me so we listened to the idols the whole way there. When we got in Rochester around 4 30, we stopped at a subway. We got to the arena by 5 and as we were pulling around the corner to parking we noticed that the place we were parking was in the back and the tour buses were right there!! They had gates blocking the buses off from the sidewalk but the were only like waist high. Well when we were rounding the corner I saw all these people around the gates and cameras and stuff and I knew an idol must be there. I was looking and i saw someone with a white hoodie on with like graphite on it and I knew it was prolly Blake. So I like start freaking out in the car we gott get over there! haha. SO my instructor parked as quick as we could and we ran over. There were maybe 20 people on the side we went to which happened to be the side where not only Blake was, but Melinda too!!! BUt unfortunately, just as we got there there were signing there last ones and they turned to leave and Blake shouted "PS- thanks for coming". We were kinda sad that we stopped to eat then haha. Well since there werent many people we got to stand right by the gate. We waited until about 5 45 and then Phil came out! I never really liked him on the show but my mom did. I didnt think he was that friendly.... he never smiled, or really talked or even really looked up at people. He just took things, signed and gave it back. I had him sign my ticket. He left at like 6 and then at about 6 15 Haley came out!! I never voted for her... I never really had an opinion of her except the fact that she was gorgeous. Well she came out waddling, it was so funny because she had been doing her nails and she had those separator things in between her toes. Well she was hurrying over and she was really sweet. She signed everyone's stuff and posed for pictures with everyone. She also talked to everyone about Ai backstage, and the tour and all the people. SHe was just really really nice. I got my picture with her (but im not aloud to post it). Then after Haley went inside it was about 6 40. They said there was someone on the bus taking a nap haha. So we waited and soon LaKisha came out. SHe didnt singn cuz she was running late buut she said hi and waved and smiled for pictures quickly. We thought no one else would come so we started walking around the buses to the entrance. When we got to the other side I stopped for a second jsut to look back to see if anyone was comming and in like 5 seconds Jordin comes running out!!!!! She wsa looking behind her and kinda looked worried. She runs over to our side and starts signing. Honestly, she was niceer than any other famous person I have ever got to meet. Carrie, of course it was in a moving line so she couldn't sit and chat, but Jordin was just sooooooo incredibly nice. She said she was running cuz it was 6 50 and the concert started in like 10 min and they told her backstage she couldnt cxome out but she said she couldnt not sign for us. She, just like Haley, addressed every person and posed for pictures with everyone (again I can't psot that one =[). She was really funny too, but she was just soo nice!! Not stuck up in the least bit. Well they came out looking for Jordin and she quickly finished everyone on our side. The road manager or whoever it was called for ehr but she couldnt resist and quickly ran to the other side! She was so nice. Well we hurried in cuz the concert was about to start. We got in and there was a fan message board. I wrote on Jordin's, Blake's, Gina's, Chris R's, and then Haley's just cuz she was so nice outside. Then We all got our picture taken with the cutout of the idols. Then we hurried into the arena. It wasnt that giant, but they said it held 11,000. It looked like 8,000. They told us they only sold 6500 tickets though. Well we had incredible seats. Closer than I have ever been anywhere. The were floor, not center but to the right, and 9th row. We got talking to the mother and daughter next to us and my instructor to a security guard. And before I knew it my mom and instructor were getting up and I wasnt sure why cuz I was talking to the girl next to me. The guard took us to seats further up and right against the stage!!!!!! Then was a small walkway between our seats and the stage. I could touch the edge. It was incredible. We were now in 5th row, but it was equal to first row in the center. And I was right up against the stage, so we were about in the center anyway, just a little to the right. Well the concert didnt start until 7 30 (probably cuz jordin was outside) It started with a group performance. I didn't realize how exactly incredible the seats were until during the show, every single idol came ovre and was dancing with, and singing directly to me and the two girls next to me (we were all right up against the gap between the stage and seats) Then, when the idols would bend over and touch are hands was awesome!! I got Chris S.'s twice, Haley's, Sanjaya's, Phil's, Jordin's, Chris R's (which was prolly my favorite haha), Jordin's, Melinda's, and Blake's. It was really cool. I just loved how the y would bend over and sing right in our faces and dance around with us. Sanjaya winked at us like 7 times haha, and Haley glanced over a ton every time she was on stage and smiled and waved to us. They all really were friendly then though, probably because we were screaming our heads off and singing with them. At one time Chris R and Blake were holding the mics out to sing with them and Chris held his right in front of us. Chris S and Sanjaya were making fun of Phil being bald one time, they did like a 10 min comedy act!! It was great. And then Phil tried beatboxing haha. Blake and Chris R did a lot of duets which I loved cuz I am in love with both of them. I just loved when they would look over to us and smile!! That was awesome!!! Even Sanjaya made me smile which I never thought would happen. Another act I loved was all the guys playing together. Phil was on keyboard, Blake, Chris S, and Sanjaya on guitar and Chris R on drums! I lvoed it cuz the drums were set up on the edge of the stage where we were and Chris kept looking down! He is soooo hott!!!!!!!! haha Then Chris R and Blake had a beatboxing competition! I love it!!!! Chris is incredible!!!!!!!! but Blake of course won =]. ohh and Chris threw his drum sticks and the people two row behind us caught one. If we kept our old seats it would have been us but as much as I am in love with Chris, it was worth it. My favorite act was Chris and Blake singing together.... they did a ton together. Blake also was doing looped vocals, and he had his machine there and everything. I also of course loved every act Gina was in, and Jordin's solos were amazing. Jordin and Melinda did a lot together too. Unfortunately our camera died when there was like 45 min left =[. We had the regular camera still but i cant post those pics cuz I don't have a scanner =[. So we got like none that I can post from the very end, except I got one of Jordin's solo but then it died for good. The finale was great and the best part of the enitre show.... during the finale, my favorite since season 4, Gina jumped down in the space between the stage and our seats!!!!!!!!!!!!! She came over and hugged me and the two girls next to me!!!!!!! It was the best part of the entire concert!!!!! And then she leaned in for a picture with me but we only had the regular camera which works like crap and worked take the picture =[ =[ =[. Gina waited for like a minute and then she said I'm really sorry but I have to go. I was so upset. Then she ran back onstage to finish the finale and one of my other 3 favorites (Chris R) come dashing through that space. he high fived everyone and then jumped back on stage. They finished and we ran outside to wait by the buses. It ws 10 30 now i think. It was packed adn I made my way to right behind the people who were right up against the waist high fence blocking us off. I have never been so crammed. You could move no matter how hard you tried. And the saddest part was everyone was pushing and shoving to get in front. It was just rude cuz it really hurt. Well Sanjaya came out within like 5min with his sister. Ohhh! I forgot to say his sister sat in the space between us and the stage but she was like right next to us!!! I got her autograph adn pic. She was really really nice. ANyway they came out and everyone was shoving but luckily I got his signature, cuz I was in like row two. Then it wasnt until like 11 that anyone else came out. I dont really remember the order they came out in, it was kinda a blur.

Im really sorry but I have to leave like this second or I'll be late to my instructor's house! I'm really sorry!!!!! I will def finish the story and post pics!!!

it totally was

so anyway back to the story....
so sanjaya and his sister came out and then at like 11 the other idols started coming out!! it was going so fast i cant even remember the order they came out but we ended up meeting all of them!!!!!!!!!!! unfortunately i have no pictures because our camera died

the other sad thing was that the guards were saying if people didnt back up and stop shoving they would take the idols away. And they did. They took Blake away after like 5 min but I already got his autograph and they took Phil away too. I didn't get his, but I had him sign my ticket earlier so I was ok with that. I was just really upset cuz they only let Gina stay like 5 min

so i didnt get her autograph... but she was right near us so I guess I could say I still 'met her'. but heres what i thought of them all
chris s was a little stuck up.... and i thought he was a little rude. he was like yelling at people and he never really made talk or anything.... just sorta like grabbed something signed it and handed it back without even like making contact with the person or anything.
gina was reallyyyyyyyyyyyy reallyyyyyy nice. she talked with all the fans and posed for pictures and everything. I really wish I could have got her autograph or a picture.... especially cuz she was my favorite.
haley like i said before was also super sweet. she signed as many things as she could and staying on each side for a good 20 min each.
sanjaya was really nice too and good to all the fans.... he wasnt stuck up at all so it kinda made me like him a little more than i did before.
phil like i said before i thought was stuck up.
chris r was the nicest guy. he was really really really nice and sweet and super cute!!!!!!!! he posed for pictures and talked with everyone about the shows and stuff. he was just so pleasant, and tried to sign everything
LaKisha was also really nice and tried to sign everything
Melinda was just as humble as on the show. she thanked everyone who handed her something to sign for supporting her and everything. she was also incredibly nice and talked with everyone about the one background singer and singing on AI and everything. she was also really pretty. she was jsut such a good person and also tried to sign everything and posed with everyone.
blake was also reallly really hot and was also really nice. he was just so laid back and cool. he def did not let becoming so huge go to his head at all. I know he would have stayed and signed everything if he wasnt pulled away.
and then theres Jordin.... she I have to say was so incredible. Honestly, she was soooo great to everyone. She stayed until 12 30 and until every single person got a picture with her and an autpgraph. And there were a lot of people.... she said she wasnt gonna leave until everything was signed and she didnt. The road managers and people wre yelling at her cuz the had a schedule to make but she didnt care. She was just soo nice and funny. She was jsut sooo real. Not a diva at all.

so yeah it was an incredible day. i am still upset a little about everything with Gina but im sooo incredibly lucky to have met everyone who i did!!!!

Awww, I hate when that happens!

That's why I always carry an extra pair of batteries and memory card!

You will never know when you get too excited, haha!

yeah my mom said we will have to go buy one. because this has happened at just about every concert we have been to.... only we have never meet everyone afterwards.
