Sanjaya? just for ratings?

does anyone besides me think the whole sanjaya thing is publicity for american idol because the longer Sanjaya stays the more people will watch to see what he does next.

It annoys me that some good singers might get booted for his terrible singing and people trying to sabatoge the show.

No, I don't think that at all. As you yourself pointed out, there are people, like VFTW, who are trying to sabotage the show. He also, apparently, has a lot of fans who actually like him, for whatever reasons.

True but you dont think at all he could be getting a bigger push from the American Idol Exects to make it more noticeable.

I think there are about 5 other better sings them him. Maybe he'll make it to the final 7 but if he gets further then that its for ratings and thats it.

Could be. It's got us all talking,don't it? And for a ho-hum season....they need some reason for people to talk about the show.

excatly considering theres no kellie,carrie or kelly its just a pretty dull season why not keep somone who keeps everyone talking about american idol

No I think it is because people are voting for him because they like to see how bad he is evry week.

I agree that it's awful that really good singers like Stephanie, Sabrina, and also Chris are gone while Sanjaya is still here, but I'm not sure what AI could be doing to keep him around......maybe they suggested that ridiculous hair style.

haha possibly. but im thinking that even American idol producers might be getting fed up. I have a feeling Sanjaya will be in the final 3 this week. he wont go home but next time he'll go.

yupp! I agree! I mean, Ryan didn't have to come out wearing the stupid mohawk last week.. I think that pretty much just promoted Sanjaya, so there'd be better ratings... For whatever reason, they keep wanting Sanjaya in.. I think he'll just lower the ratings for next season!
