3/27/07 Tonight's Performances

There were some hit and misses on tonight's show,some raised their game while others stumbled slightly,Chris Sligh didn't cut it,nor did Sanjaya,and that hair of his,ouch! Blake was good vocally,but the performance was boring,Phil picked the right song and sang it beautifully,and Chris R,well, he sounds like a mouse on hellium,sorry girls,but he just doesn't cut it for me.
The girls were all surprisingly good,Gina was phenominal,and Jordin got into the spirit,while Haley gave us her true colors,Melinda was full of spunk,and Lakisha knocked it out of the park.

With a few standouts I thought it was a fairly boring night with the surprise being Sanjaya's crazy and UGLY hair style. If he makes it past this week this a a true sign that America does not have good taste...

I definately agree with you Josh,Sanjaya's luck is running out soon and for the better.

Bad hair has ended more than one Idol run.

I actually, truly just forgot it was on tonight.

What a difference from last year. My whole life revolved around Tuesday, it seemed like.

I really was going to watch this week.

I didn't get to se it tonight because my SAT prep class was from 6-9:30 so I had to miss it. I had a friend tape it for me though so I'll watch it on Thursday since I'm working tomorrow night.

The good:
I thought that Phil has the best and strongest voice of all the guys, then again maybe I'm bias because he's my favorite, but I thought he chose a great song. Blake was good but I thinki he's better in more pop-ish songs and so I don't think that this slow song was the best choice, but he sang it well. Chris was pretty good I thought. Of course he sounds much better doing pop/rock songs I thought the voice fit his voice well. I thought that Melinda, LaKisha, Jordin, and Haley did great! Melinda is always good and chose a good song tonight. LaKisha sang AMAZING and chose a perfect song! Jordin rocked the house! And I thought Haley, although it was just an OK song choice and voice, performed pretty well and I like her personality and such.

The Okay:
Chris I thought did OK. I think that he has an OK and strong voice, but he is not truly a standout and I do not really care for him. I thought Gina Did OK tonight. Like Chris I think she is forgettable and has a pretty average bar-rock voice nothing near rock-star style.

The bad and the ugly:
Let's start with the bad. I'm sorry but we all know Sanjaya is at the end of his run and I don't mean to be rude or anything, but compared to almost any other singer he is NOT cut out for this show or any other singing gig in America and I hope that he soon leaves beause hello, this show is called American Idol and I think that very few people think that he relates to an "idol" or even a good singer. And the ugly. I'll keep it simple. Sanjaya's hair stylist should be sued.

But that's just my opinion...

Last season, AI was the topic of conversation from week to week. No one cares, this season.

OMG Sanjaya HAS to go! That hair was awful, as was his singing, as always! And he insulted Simon, like he thinks he's such a hot shot! Lakisha was AWESOME, Gina was great, Melinda looked cute and sounded terrific, and Jordin was also terrific, but I didn't like her outfit at all! Phil was surprisingly good, he chose the right song! Haley was a lot better than Sanjaya, but still not the best performance from her.

i liked phil. i thought he did the a great job. i love the song anyway and he did it justice. he had a great outfit too. i also love blake. he is so talented and very cute! not my favorite performance but i still love him.

Sanjaya(hahahahahahahahah) ,Blake did so good and he was looking so ''HOT" the rest did good ,it was a litlebit of booring night ,I hope Sanjaya will be gone next week!
