Yeah..I agree. I don't think Sanjaya and Antonella will go that far. That is just my opinion though. I mean they are good but not good enough to make it that far. It will really surprise me if they make it that far.

There have been way too many posts where people crossed the line from reasonable criticism of a contestant's performance to bashing.

I realize that's a judgment call.

But even if we threw out all the posts that are simply "questionable," there are many where there's no question the poster was bashing.

As Kellie Beans, we should know better.

I'm sorry that you feel this way. Although, I don't understand how anything in this thread could be viewed as nasty, things in the other thread I can absolutely understand but not everyone is going to love her voice. I just don't think she has shown that she is up to par with the others in the competition. I don't view that as bashing. I think she is doing an amazing job holding her head high. Being from the south, I'm not fond of her attitude, but thats cause I'm used to people being much milder. I do not know her family or the girl herself, I've never tried to insinuate that I did, but I don't see why I need to know her to judge her singing. Perhaps I'm just confused by what you are trying to say. There have been some bashing comments in the past, but I don't see this thread as bashing, its simply people sharing their opinions. I'm sorry if my comments offended you, but I don't believe I have crossed the line. I've tried to keep my comments well balanced and without insult simply discussing what is out there for us to see.

I'm more than happy to admit that I don't know her, and I can't judge her as a person, but I can judge her actions and her singing. Does it mean she's a horrible horrible person if I don't approve of either? No, it just means she needs some work. She's a young girl, she just needs some time to come into her own.

The contestants choose the songs, but they have to be in the notebook of allowed songs. Each week they have notebooks to look through to find a song.
