Rumors about the winner's single
There have been rumors going around that ''Make It Real'' is the song the final 2 will be singing next week. Rumors have spread that it is a very rockish tune. The song was written by Nick Lachey and Tamrya Gray. If this is true then they probably thought Chris was going to be in finals for them to make the song a rock tune.

It could be true. This season made Chris look like he was going to win. Even Nigel thought Chris was going to be in finals and win the whole thing. If these 2 wrote the song, I don't think they made it a rock song. I think AI edit it into a rock song so it can benefit Chris cause they thought he was going to win. Now they are in BIG trouble as Kat and Tay aren't rock.

I also had heard earlier on that Tamyra Gray and Nick Lachey would be writing the song together for the final 2...

It's pretty awesome that they wrote the song. I actually liked the song that Tamyra wrote for the Season 3 finale.

that is interesting! ^ their plans backfired on them, but I think Taylor and Kat will do fine with it, they are both very talented vocalist!

OK I think I know what's going on. NOW let's go back to Season 1 and the winners single. REMEMBER AI said they keep 1 or 2 contestants in mind when picking a finale song. ALSO they pick this song WEEKS before the final 2 is announced!
Season 1- The winners single was for a Kelly/Tamyra finale instead Justin made the finals. They didn't think he was going to make it all the way. Which the songs suit Kelly more cause it was most likely written for a female's voice.
Season 2- Clay and Ruben both had different songs that suit their styles. They both sang well. Imagine if Kimberley Locke had made the finale. The songs were written for male's voice.
Season 3- Fantasia and Diana sang ''I Believe''. before the final 2 was announced, EVERYONE thought it would be a Fantasia/Latoya finale (I thought so too) so it suit Fan more than Diana. But Diana probably knew it was pick for Fantasia but she tired to do the best she could with the song.
Season 4- Carrie and Bo sang ''Inside Your Heaven''. They knew it was going be Bo/Carrie finale. To me I think they already knew Carrie would win so I think IYH was pick for her.
Season 5- Who did EVERYONE think would make the finals? Chris & Taylor. This winner single is probably more suited for a males voice. I really don't think they thought or even plan for Katharine to be in the finale. So there you go. That why I seriously think the winner single was really to suppose to fit Chris/Taylor finale probably more written for Chris cause AI thought he would win was lock deal. This season much more like Season 1 if you think about it.
Tamyra=Chris
Justin=Katharine
Kelly=Taylor
Now I know these is a weird parings but remember season 1 Tamyra was the chosen one (like Chris) but got the boot in the final 4 (like Chris). Kelly was really never a chosen one (Like Taylor). Everyone thought Tamyra would win with Kelly as a runner up (like when people thought Chris would win, Taylor a runner up). AI never plan for Justin to make the final 2 (Like Katharine) because they thought the final 2 was lock deal for sure and it wasn't. Plus Justin and Kat also have another thing in common (besides AI didn't think they would make the finale in their seasons) they are also NOT from the south.
Now do you guys understand it more now?
