Doesn't anybody else think Katharine is going to sing something like a Whitney Houston ballad OR Celine Dion ballad OR Mariah Carey ballad? This is a HUGE possiblity that she's going to sing of their songs. Sure Kat has a good voice and all. Her lower register is great but her upper register kinda screechy. She couldn't pull off a Christina song and these female singers I just said are very similar. Hopefully she will stay in her lower range and do OK but if she tries to sing one of their songs she'll be doom She's good but her voice isn't at that level as Whitney, Celine, Christina or Mariah and she'll be smart enough staying VERY FAR AWAY from these songs next week but I highly doubt she'll stay away from it.

I think Kat will do really well this week because this is the kind of music she is best at. Elliot will probably do well too. Hopefully Kellie picks a good song that shows off her personality and vocals this week!
^ Yeah it sounds screechy shrap pitcy kinda of sound. Hope she's avoid it. I mean not only is that one of her weaknesses (High notes) but she'll probably be going 1st or 2nd Tuesday night which going first isn't always good.

I've notice that Simon seems to have some kind of short term memory loss for the first songs he hears. Maybe he's getting Ahlzheimer's Disease.
Also I am really getting sick of all the glam shots and fancy lighting and close ups Kat is getting. Isn't it about time some of the other contestants got the red carpet treatment in that department?
i think kat has one of the best voices left if not the best,technically. i think she could pull off one of them but scince those singers are so famous she would be compared to them and that is never a good thing. I do think she will do very well next week.fingers crossed. Go Kat WHHOOTT!
Yeah I've sick of the lighting/glam shots for her. I also got sick of the special treatment for Chris. It's about time for someone else to get like Elliot, Taylor, Kellie or something. hehehe Simon doesn't remember things very well as we can see hehehe. I think Simon is getting OLD!!! Older than Paula, Randy, Ryan, the audience, and the contestants COMBINE!!

I think Kat will do fine as she know vocally what she is capable of and will have a good nite, this is her style and genre again. I like kat .. As for the closeup shots they need to do that more for kellie... she can be just as sultry Yeah i am tired of the special treatment / effects they seem to give Chris they need to do more stuff for the other contestant . Simon changes his mind like his mood, lol
Katharine will do just fine next week. Technically, she has the best voice of the six remaining contestants. Even her upper register is awesome, she has a terrific range.
She'll do fine. Since it's love songs she'll be able to pick a song in her genre. I just hope she keeps her voice under control. I hate when she goes for those high notes and she sounds like she's whining.

I completely disagree with the artists you think she will tackle. The only reason she sang Christina was because it was a modern themed week. She will probably do a ballad from Barbara Streisand, or even a male singer! She is not limited to those three (Mariah, Celine, and Whitney), i don't think she would even consider them. But, then again, I could be wrong! We'll just have to see!
