Now American Idol judge Simon Cowell has done it. He's upset Beyoncé's Dad. Us Weekly is reporting that the 'tell it like it is' judge has Matthew Knowles taking issue with Cowell, who for reportedly calling his daughter Beyoncé “not a great singer” and “not sexy.”

This should be good.

The proposal for the duel- according to The New York Daily News comes from Knowles.

“I challenge him to put together a female group or female solo artist, and I will do the same, and then let the audience decide which is better,” Knowles told Daily News contributor Jawn Murray after watching Tuesday’s live Idol show backstage and experiencing Cowell up close and personal.

When finalist Paris Bennett received raves from judges Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul for her cover of Beyoncé’s tune “Work It Out,”

Cowell sniffed: “I am sorry to put a damper on everything … You know what it reminded me of? It’s like a little girl pretending to be Beyoncé. Whoopee.”

Knowles fired back: “It is even more clear to me that Simon wouldn’t know a hit song, image or talent if it hit him in the face.”

Sounds more like papa Knowles might want something else to smack Simon in the face.

That's so dumb! You don't see Clay Aiken getting pissed off because simon always makes fun of him! Stupid people and their pride! you can't get mad at someone because of their opinion! And, I'm sure simon can put together something way better than Beyonce's dad could!

^ I agree. It's Simon's opinion. Beyonce may not be the best singer but she has sold millions of copies of CDs and sold out concerts. Let her record sales speak out instead of her dad.

so how did simon diss beyonce? i dont get that. and i agree, beyonce's dad shouldnt get mad at simon for his opinion! i mean i'd probably be kindof offended if simon joked me on air if i wasnt a contestant, but i love simon lol and its just his opinion!
