Depends on how well the next album does, I think.
If the new album produces hit songs and earns her new fans, then yes. I think that's the biggest thing. If the new album can get people to notice her and care about her music that didn't care before. I think it definitely has the potential to.
There's no reason for the new album not to be 10x more successful than STG. The music is definitely superior.

But then again, maybe it'll go platinum before the album's even released. I don't think there's any way to tell how far away she is. Since they go by shipments, not sales. Kellie's outsold Taylor Hicks and his album is certified platinum.
Maybe the new single's success will have enough of a push to get her there.
