Kellie should have been nominated for BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST, BREAKTHROUGH SONGWRITER (I Wonder) and SONG OF THE YEAR (I Wonder). She should definitely win BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST.
We all know Kellie co-wrote many top ten songs including some top fives and number ones, they just weren't promoted and played as such.
Some weren't even released to radio.
Same as most all awards, these are based on airplay and sales not just talent. That's why the CMT Awards mean as much to me as CMAs and ACMs, and everyone who knows anything about country music knows Kellie deserved to win those 3 fan voted awards plus more nods.
