Charities Win Big at CMT Awards Back To Today's Country Music News

Many Country Music artists walked away with buckles at Monday night’s CMT Music Awards, but the biggest winners were the charities.
CMT One Country, the network’s major charity network, donated $5,000 to the charity of choice of the winner in each category. An extra $5,000 will be donated to the charity of the winner of the coveted Video of the Year Award, which went to Taylor Swift for "Our Song".
The AARP Foundation Grandparenting Program proved to be the night’s big winner, garnering $15,000 from three-time winner Kellie Pickler. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift won another $10,000 for the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital for her two awards.
