I know what you mean and it's really annoying, haha. It happens if you have "Use overlays" enabled/checked under the "Video Acceleration" settings. It interferes with the Window's capture mechanism. The settings is usually found under your video settings of your player. For example, in Windows Media Player, it's under the
Tools | Options | Performance | Advanced. There should be an equivalent settings in your player. I can help you find this option if you let me know the player you're using.
