Jonas Brothers, Flo Rida to serenade Ellen DeGeneres crowd this week at Universal CityWalk

The Ellen DeGeneres Show will be taping episodes again this week at Universal Orlando's CityWalk. The Emmy Award-winning talk show was also there last spring. I went and had a good time, even without the benefit of seating steered toward the lagoon stage. We meandered around the "ground level" and found ourselves reasonably close to the musical acts and even Ellen herself, who came up to do introductions of the band.
Taping times are noon and 3 p.m. on Friday, then 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. You'll need to factor in extra travel time since you'll be dealing with a crash of people arriving at once AND the joy that is the Universal Mega-garage (trademark pending). The shows will air next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The shows are free to watch, but don't forget about the $11 Mega-parking fee.

Noon show, Friday, March 28: Florida's own Flo Rida ("Low"), Comedian Jeff Foxworthy (who wrote a children's book called "Dirt on My Shirt") and NFL players Chester Pitts and Ephraim Salaam, who are said to be DeGeneres' favorite football players. They're with the Houston Texans.
3 p.m. show, Friday, March 28: Squeal! It's the Jonas Brothers, y'all, performing two songs ("When You Look Me in the Eyes" and "S.O.S.") plus Paula Deen, the Southern cook, with her sons Jamie and Bobby.
1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 29: Actress Jenny McCarthy, American Idol alumna Kellie Pickler (Season 5) plus an Idol castoff TBA.
