Hey guys, just incase some of you don’t know, I’m Sammy. I am a HUGE animal person. A while back I raised over $400 for my all time favorite animal organization called Nor Cal Golden Retriever Rescue.

Its an AMAZING program for beaten, neglected etc Golden Retrievers. I got 2 of my Golden Retrievers from this organization. In honor of the new year I am interested in raising money for the Goldens in need.
Some of my ideas so-far are:


Movie Night

Dance or Concert

Talent Show

Informative Lecture

Pet Photo Contest

Recycling

Grant Money

These events would take place in my church or in a large room - like an auditorium. I was thinking if one of the events were to be a "pet photo contest" like listed above, I would charge $1 for every photo entered; participants can enter as many photos of DIFFERENT pets if desired. All the money from that goes to this organization. The winners would receive some of the items that are listed in the "Online Store" on the website that I posted above.
I am also creating a website for it; yes there is a website already, but the website that I am creating will have photos of my events, upcoming events, information about what I am doing, and different ways that you or anyone you know can help me. So basically I am trying to make my own little organization.
I have not yet decided if its only going to be for Golden Retrievers; or for other animals as well. Right now, I am thinking of starting out with Golden Retrievers, and getting more involved with other animals as I get a little older. I am only 14 years old, so there’s only so much that I can do.

I am looking for help with:

*a good website name (wont be a domain name, but I already have a host)

*anymore fundraising ideas

*any additional ideas for certain fundraising ideas - like if I had a movie night, what should I also include with the movie night

*ANY other information, advice, etc

For the state of California (because it is a California organization) ALL checks are tax-deductible. I don’t know if checks are tax-deductible if its coming from another state. I will notify you when I find out (later on tonight), I will just edit this post. You can also ask for a pamphlet and not donate anything. Because I am still doing my part by informing you more.
