I wasn't even supposed to go to the last show because I couldn't afford it. I got to my little cousin's 6th birthday party at 1 p.m. and around 2 I got a text from an amazing person offering me 2 free tickets!!!!!! Sooo I asked my mom and she said as long as I wasn't going to spend a lot of money on idol again this year. lol
I called up a friend that I knew wanted to go. We got to the arena around 6 to pick up the tickets. I saw Jess and a few other junkies as well. Everyone was talking about how sad it was since it was the last show.
Then 2 other junkies showed up that I had been talking with online and they like recognized me right away. haha
We started going into the arena around 6:30 and found our seats. They actually weren't bad considering the person I got them from had won them!!We were kind of in the middle, 4 rows away from the floor.
The friends I had gone with the day before knew that morning that they were able to go so they showed up early to buy tickets. They bought 3 (they took another friend) but then a lady who works for Kellog gave them 3 free tickets in the 10th row on the floor! They were texting me the whole time about how excited they were. haha Blake's dad and aunt were sitting behind them so they talked to them for a while. (We met Blake's aunt the night before, too. She just came up to us and started talking. I think she liked our shirts. lol)
The show was just as amazing as the night before, if not more because some of them did a little something extra. Chris and Blake sang "Sexyback!" OMG I was so excited! lol Jordin sang acapella and Blake gave us a sample of what his CD will be like!
During intermission, one of my friends from the 10th row called me and was all excited because her Sanjaya sign had been shown on the big screen and because of that, Rickey from rickey.org had handed them 3 after party passes! I was sooooo happy for them. I asked if they got me one but they said the guy couldn't give them another one.
But during the 2nd half of the show, the guy came up to them again and handed my friends an extra after party pass for me!
I FLIPPED OUT!
So everyone who had the passes waited in the section I was in to go backstage. I saw the junkies walk past me and then I saw this guy who looked familiar. I looked again and I turned to my friend and I was like, "OMG it's Nick Pedro!!!!" I LOVED him. He was in the top 24 this season.
Since our passes were from Sanjaya's fan club, we had to sit in his fan club section. I asked the security guard if it was to only meet Sanjaya and she said, "Yes, unless we have time to switch the rooms afterwards." The 3rd girl who went with my friends looked at me. Neither of us are really Sanjaya fans lol so the guard let us switch over to the other side.
The "all idols except for Sanjaya" group went to the After Party first. I was sooo excited walking down the hall. My friend took a picture of me and then right when I turned around Sanjaya walked right past me to go to his after party with his fan club. lol
I got to the room where all the idols were and I was soooo excited. I was really sad because I found out Gina wasn't going to be there and she was the one I was really hoping to meet.
Everyone else is really nice though.
LaKisha said she's going to go do The Color Purple with Fantasia.
Melinda is going to Nashville.
Both Jordin's and Blake's albums are coming out in November. (I already knew that so I had something to talk with them about. lol)
I also met Haley, Phil, Chris Sligh, and also Chris Richardson for the 2nd time but I didn't get to ask them what they would be doing.
I had Chris Richardson and Blake sign my shirt. They both loved it. I told Blake that ADD (his album) will be released a few days after my birthday and he said, "AWESOME! Well happy early Thanksgiving and happy birthday!" lol
(Everyone buy Jordin's album on 11/20 and Blake's on 11/27! And yay...my birthday is on 11/23!)
Sooo I had no idea when I got up on Sunday that I would be going to the show, nevermind going to the AP! I had the best weekend of my life. I met some amazing people, both idols and fans! I couldn't have asked for anything more. <3
