August 27, 2006--->>
This is one of the best days of my life. I woke up at 9am in the morning because I need to go to church early because I am singing for choir so I took a bath and my Aunt picked me up with her two sons and we went to church early. We were rehearsing and suff and praying and stuff. Church started like 10:00 am and ended at 1:00pm so I hurriedly asked my mom to drive me to Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim so I can be early there and probably meet some Idols. We got lost on the way there because there are two streets called "Chapman" and we first went to the wrong one so I was mad but excited at the same time so I don't know what emotion I can use at that time. LOL! So we stopped at a gas sation and learned that we are in the wrong "Chapman" so we went to Freeway 57 again and looked for another "Chapman" and we did after next two exits there it is. I sa Arrowhead Pond of anaheim and it was spectacular. I never thought that that "Arrowhead" is the bottled water we drink and it is an Arrowhead Water Pond, that's what I heard from the people talking there. I was excited once again and made my mom go fast. We got there 2:30pm. I told her to go to the main entrance but a sign said its closed so we went farther back and saw the actual parking space. I told my mom not to go in the parking so she wouldn't have to pay. So I got out of the car and kissed my mom and my little sister goodbye and head straight to the people flocking a tour bus. So I said to myself "Wow this is it! I will now see my Idols" Jasmine Trias from Season 3 is the only Idol I have seen in personal because we are both filipinos and in the Philippines I have connections in the entertainment industry so I get to see her. LOL
Back to the story, I hurried to the Rest Room to change from my Church Clothes to my American Idol Clothes and hurriedly went outside because I don't wanna miss anyone. So I waited like 45 minutes and Ace Young came out from the bus. I wasn't that excited but Hey! He is part of American Idol and I love American Idol so I took my black Sharpie & digital camera from my backpack and of course, the cover of the Encores CD. I waited for my turn, I was second in line so I'm happy because I walk fast. LOL! after the first person done I approached Ace and said "Hey can you sign my CD?" and he said "Sure!" I smiled and he smiled and then wrote something on the top of his picture on the CD. I can't read it at that time because it was like upside-down and then he asked my name. I hate people saying & spelling my name wrong so I spelled it to him. I said "Put P-A-O-L-O" and then he wrote it and said "Paolo, great name" I was shocked because he said my name right. I didn't even tell him so I said "Thanks" He wrote on the cover:

He gave it back to me and I said "Cool! Thanks!" and then I think he saw I was holding a camera because he told me. "Hey! want a picture to put on your MySpace?" I was like "Oookay?" but that's what I was planning to do next ask him for a picture but he did asked first so that's cool too. So he put his right hand on my right shoulder and with the left hand he did the "Peace" sign and he raised his feet from the steel fences so he can reach me. I took the picture and then Ace said "Thanks man!" and then I replied "Welcome man!" LOL :P and I left him with the next person in line. Here is our picture:
Okay back to the story, I was waiting for other Idols to come out of the bus or out of the door where security and staff of Arrowhead Pond usually go. Guess who went out of the door while Ace is still entertaining some fans. Kellie and Katharine came out. I shouted "Kellie!!!" and she waved at me and then I shouted "Katharine!!!" she waved at me too but they didn't go near us like Ace did because they headed straight to their bus. I was waiting like crazy for both of them and they walked out with another person. I don't know who that is but he ruined the chance I have to meet Kellie and Katharine at the same time. He was holding Kellie and Katharine's shoulder and making them enter the door where they came out. I was like "OH MAN!"
I waited for like 2 or 2 and a half more hours but no Idol came. I sa Bucky but I am kinda pissed because of what happened to my Kellie-Katharine-supposed-to-be-meeting. So I didn't mind him. He didn't come near us though so I didn't mind shouting at him. then Taylor went out of the bus and waved at all of us. He said he will just put his things inside and come back but he never did. I was really bored and tired and itis so hot. It's 106 degrees.
Then I am still waiting and waiting for who will come or if Kellie & Katharine will be back. I turned my back on the bus so I can lean on the fence and saw someone familiar. I was thinking "I think I know this woman" and a girl next to me said "Isn't that Lisa's mom?" I was thinking "Oh Yeah!" and then I said to the girl "Yeah that's Lisa Tucker's mom" I quickly approached Lisa's Mom and I said "Hey! Can I have a picture with you?" and showed her my camera. She replied "Why? I'm only Lisa's Mom" and I said "Leh Duh!" and she laughed and said "Ok I will take a picture with you" So I took the picture and said my thanks as she did say her thanks too and she left.
After that Lisa's Mom Encounter. The security wearing Yellow Uniforms were starting to make a way to enter the stadium or stage or whatever that is called. I started lining up with the people because I want to go in the stage and see what it looks like. I have my backpack right? So after one of the security checked my bag they said that they do not allow backpacks inside. I said "So? What do you want me to do?" and they said that I should check in my backpack on the lady wearing shades. I was thinking "Nu-Uh" because I have evryithing I need in my backpack. My wallet, glowstick, CD's, sharpies, digital camera, cellphone, iPod, 3 earphones, 2 padlocks, etc. So I said to them "I have important stuff in my backpack and I won't do it. I won't check my backpack in" After that a lady with different clothing but the same logo on the shirt came she was like manager or something and said "It's ok to bring your backpack, just don't remove this sticker" So she put up like a sticker on with the name American Idol on the American Flag. I said "Cool!" and I walked in.
As I walked in I saw the stand or bigger-than-a-stand thing where they sell American Idol stuff. I bought the tourbook, a Kellie photo, a Katharine photo, and a Kellie Button. It cost me $33. As I walk by the halls to look for my section or my seat, People kept on complementing my shirt and I was always saying thanks and smiled at them. Finally I saw my section and I don't wanna go in yet. So I looked around and saw some foodstands, some people reading the tourbook, some eating, and I saw this Karaoke like thing and a black guy is singing "YMCA". He was good. While I was waching a guy wearing Poptarts shirt approached me and said I should pick a song. I was like "Nooo!" and he said "C'mon, There's nothing to lose" I looked at the song list and I saw "What I've Been Looking For" by Ryan and Sharpay Evans on High School Musical and I decided to sing that. So its my turn to sing and I don't know I wasn't nervous. There were like 100 people watching. LOL :P So I started singing and people liked it. They were all dancing, some were nodding their heads, some were singing along. I was like "Wow! They liked me" and the black guy said after my song. "Thanks! We might find the next American Idol here" I was haapy and really excited.
After the singing thing I went around the stadium for another look and I saw the Fan Message Board. Where you get to right anything you want to say to the Top 10. I wrote on Kellie's, Katharine's, Lisa's, & Paris'. I wanted to write on all of them but there were a lot of people and I hate that I hate crowds so I went off to my seat. I was amazed that the stage was near me and is close. So once I saw the view, I went out again to get food. I got Chicken Tenders with BBQ Sauce and Fries and for drink yes! Arrowhead Mineral Water.
I went back to my seat cause the show is about to start and I ate while I wait.
Then the American Idol Theme was playing that time and I stopped eating and thought. "This should be the start" and it was. Mandisa was up first. She was magnificent singing "I'm Every Woman" and she talks about God all the time which makes me admire her. Then Ace came in to do a duet with Mandisa and then sang "Father Figure". That was great! Ace was falsettopendous!!! Then he removed his Angels shirt and sang another song then he introduce Lisa. I really like Lisa since audition day and because she did not make it longer on the show I tend to forget her and my focus was on Katharine and Kellie. She is still my favorite. She has lot of fans on Anaheim because it was her hometown and I think she did well too.
When it's time for her to talk to us. I was shouting "I LOVE YOU, LISA!" and people from my section looked at me like "What the heck" but I didn't mind because Lisa looked at me, I think and smiled. Then she went to play the organ on two songs and introduced Paris Bennett were they did a duet on "Waterfalls" I like their dance step where they do the jiggy-wiggy LOL :P I like it when Paris sang "Crazy In Love" all from our section danced with her. That was awesome. Then she said byebye after her chair dance. The tune of "Superstition" came and I knew it was Bucky and he went out and sang for us. I never really liked Bucky personally but I think I do now. I like when he did his second song about Tampa Bay or something. That was perfect, then He sang another song and then Kellie came out. I was standing up and waving my 2 glowsticks like crazy and shouting her name and taking some pictures while they do their duet.
Bucky left leaving Kellie alone and then she sang "I'm The Only One" which is perfect!!! Just like her performance before but now is better. Then she started taking of her Bohemian Rhapsody Jacket and started talking to us. I am still standing up and waving my glowsticks and I shouted "KELLIE I LOVE YOU!!!!" like three times to get her attention and guess what? It did! She said on the mic. "I can hear someone is talking to me." then I shouted "KELLIE I LOVE YOU" again and she said "Lights Please" and then the light was all over our section and Kellie saw me and said "Hello" and smiled. People from my section were like clapping hands, and cheering for me while I do my Kellie-Addiction, shouting, yelling, and waving the glowsticks. I was happy and contented that Kellie, YES!!! Kellie Pickler noticed me and I am so glad that time. Then she sang a Walkin' After Midnight/Something To Talk About Medley and I was dancing and singing while she was performing. People from my section sang and danced too then she said goodbye and said that they would be back after a break.
After the break it was Chris. I like his voice it's very rock 'n' rolly and I like the songs he sang. He made the crowd go wild. Then Elliott entered and did a duet with Chris and then Chris said byebye and threw a guitar pick for some fans. elliott did some of his songs and then he called back Bucky, Ace, and Chris for a quartet. I like how they sang that song. I forgot the title but it was perfect. Their voices blend with each other.Then they said byebye and all went dark.
Only glowsticks from everyone was lighting and then I heard "2...3...4 Wooohoo,woohoo" It was Katharine!!!! YAY! I was so happy that I stood up again and sang along with her. Then while she was talking I shouted again "KATHARINE I LOVE YOU!!!" like four times but she haven't heard me because she is talking. That's ok I still like her.
then she sang "Think", then "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" which is done perfectly!!! Katharine is fantastic. Then she said byebye and then "Jailhouse Rock" tune started playing and we are all looking at the stage but Taylor wasn't there. At the monitor we saw him from the audience and he was dancing his way to the stage. He was awesome. He did some songs and then said "Goodnoght Anaheim!!!" So people thought that it was over. Some people from my Section got up and went home.
I knew it wasn't over because there is no group song yet. Taylor came back to the stage and sang "Do I Make You Proud" I think and then The Top 9 approached the stage and sang then Taylor introduced Lisa Tucker individually where she got lots of screams and shouts. My throat is hurting so I am just watching while they sing and dance and go around in circles. Lastly, they sang "We Are The Champions" and then ended and they went off the stage and said goodnight. I was about to leave when they all came out again and they all raised their hands up and bowed together andthen they all crazily went off the stage. Chris and Katharine went off by walking to the sides, followed by Mandisa and Elliot, and then Kellie and Paris danced their way out. Kellie is doing the Pickabilly Shuffle that was cute. Lastly, Taylor said Lisa's name and he went off the stage by the Band Door. Lisa left us with a flying kiss. I am so happy that I went there. That was fun and that was an amazing concert!
I can't wait for another one like this.
