Lisa at Greensboro

Hey guys, please realize that I am a die-hard Kellie fan, and she is totally my favorite. Entertainment in the music business in not just about the voice, but the whole package, and Kellie rocks my world.

Also, it's important to realize that I was not a Lisa fan during the season. I thought her voice was fantastic, but her performances, for some reason (hard for me now to remember and figure out why), just didn't do it for me.

Lastly, I am a Elton John fan from way back. I love his songs and I have felt over the years (particularly during Elton John Week on Idol) that not many artists could do justice to his songs.

LISA ABSOLUTLY NAILED THOSE TWO ELTON JOHN SONGS IN GREENSBORO.

I was mesmerized by her performance. She didn't sing them like Elton....she put her own twist to them. Emotion, technique, pitch, everything was perfect. Tears came to my eyes. She had such total command of the keyboard and the songs. She is going to be a star, no doubt about it.

One thing that set her apart from the other performers is that what was coming over the speakers was all keyboard and vocals. When the band played, the acoustics of the coliseum caused echos and reverb that really detracted from the musicality of the performances. The singer could be off a whole interval and no one would notice. With Lisa's performance, the music shone through the limitations of the venue.

One last comment about Lisa. Everyone talks about Paris being the dancer. Well, let me tell you, Lisa's indulating moves during their duet were fluid and very, very sexy. She was different from Paris, but in my opinion so much better. I could not take my eyes off her. She had on a back-less blouse, and, well, can't say much more other than that girl has some moves. Very soft, very subtle, very sexy.

Country music is my passion, and Kellie is my girl. But I cannot wait to see what the future has for this young phenom called Lisa.

Wow sounds like Lisa did fantastic. I felt the same way as you while watching american idol..i knew her voice was awesome but her performances didnt amaze me. But maybe i'll see the same thing you did going to the concert..

I have said right from her first audition that Lisa Tucker will be a star..The one big problem she had on AI was that her voice was years ahead of her body...As I have stated on here that as soon as they even out (body and voice) she will be a star and yes Robert a sexy star...Paris will still look like a third-grader that can sing....

she is so young and she has so much time and so many opportunities ahead of her. us, living near anaheim, were fans of her, so we support her! we cant wait to see her on the tour!

I had similar thoughts, Robert, after seeing her in Charlotte. Lisa was one of the highlights of the night for me.

Thinking back, Lisa had one of the outstanding auditions. I thought she was one of the favorites going into the Top 24.

But I think bad song choices, her youth and not connecting with the audience when she wasn't performing were her downfall. But time and maturity should take care of that.

I posted the same comments about Lisa's performance over on the AI boards.

In 48 hours there was only one comment on Lisa's board, and it was positive.

I added the comment to a Lisa thread on the concert board, and there were only two additional comments after mine, both positive.

I find it interesting that my comments generated more discussion here on KellieFans than the total on the AI boards.

Also that Lisa's board has so little activity.

Very sad for such a classy performer.

But hey. She's young. I'm sure she will do well.

Well I had two favorites right from the start...Kellie and Lisa...Kellie came on strong but Lisa had that grownup voice in a 16 year old body or was it 17...People I think had trouble adjusting to that...But as they say "Wait until she grows up"..

Oh I love Lisa! She is one of my favorites. Did you hear her when she is still on star Search? I have mp3s of her singing "Didn't We Almost Have It All" and "One Moment In time" that was great too.

I really love Lisa too. She is so graceful and feminine and has a beautiful, velvety voice. I really enjoyed her song (Signed, Sealed and Delivered) on the Encores CD.

PLUS, I think she has a very nice personality. I believe she will go far in the entertainment industry. As for fans, I think as she gets involved in other projects besides American Idol, she'll be getting the fans she deserves.

Yes Lisa really stepped it up at Charlotte too. I was totally amazed at her ability to play the piano so well while singing. She did absolutely wonderful!!
