Kellie made me a fan at the Raleigh show. While I had followed her some, I can't say I was a huge fan....but I am now. I have a few great pictures of her when she came off the bus on her way to do a radio interview. She was stunning. While I thought she might go directly into the arena or off to a waiting limo....when she came off the bus, she came directly over to the crowd that had gathered. She seemed to be very excited to see the people waiting for her. Looked like she was enjoying spending time with some of the die hard fans. And I thought she did a really awesome thing after the encore when she took off her red high heels and jumped off the stage to get closer to her fans. It's nice to see a celebrity that remembers the people that allow her to do what she is doing. And I can't believe she sounded so good in that cow arena with all the echos and poor acoustics. I can't wait to hear her in a real arena. I was also impressed by her band...they are really tight and strong. Also had the chance to talk with some of them too. But something that really impressed me about her...the emotion and honesty. Something you don't see much of anymore. What a great concert experience.

Glad you had fun Randy and became a big fan. It was an incredible show!

Great reviews, Robert and Jim.
Thanks for the pics Elizabeth, Jim, Heather and Amanda!
I'll upload some more later tonight.
This was a great concert, and the autograph session was better organized than at the Charlotte concert. The troopers (I think, they were wearing uniforms but I don't remember which group) were professional, helpful and nice.
The crowd was definitely more sedate than at the Paisley concert, but like you said, in a way it was good to be able to hear everything. Kellie's little stories were hilarious.
I saw people I know I've seen before at the homecoming or other concerts, but there were people who hadn't seen her since "Idol."
As I was walking in, one of the guys in a small group (two 20something guys and their girlfriends) stopped to look at my shirt (from the Paisley tour). Then he turned to his girlfriend and asked her, "When did she cut her hair?" *
*The answer, for trivia buffs: Friday, May 5, 2006, the day before her Albemarle homecoming.
All of you have done such a great job of reviewing the concert so I won't attempt my own but add just a few things.
I love love love the new song! I also loved Kellie's interaction with the audience, she really makes you feel like you're all friends hanging out and chatting.
As for the autograph session, I wished they had announced that she was going to be signing and where. As she finished her encore I left to go stand by her bus hoping to get a picture and autograph. I was at the Sara Evans concert and she came over and signed there so I was hoping Kellie was going to do the same. When it was announced that she was going to be signing on the other side of the arena I took off running to the other side. I'm sure I was a sight running along in a skirt and flip flops with posters in my hands and a full backpack on my back (if you saw me please forget that you did, lol). I managed to get in line inside the fenced in area, and I was hoping that that meant I was definitely going to get in, then the cop comes out saying that she's only going to sign for 30min and I thought there was no way I was going to make it in. I think my sister asked me every 30sec how much longer she was signing for. When I finally got in the door and discovered that Kellie was taking pictures with everyone I was so estatic (when I saw her the first time they didn't alllow pictures with her). After what seemed like hours I finally made it up to Kellie. I had planned to just get her to sign the picture that I bought but she ended up signing both my picture and both posters that I'd made. She got a good laugh from the "BlinkinPecker" poster and turned around to show her friend (Summer, right?). Then I got my picture made with her, which just might be the highlight of my life. On the way out of the fairgrounds I snapped a couple of pictures of her bus which my sister says officially makes me a stalker, lol.
Wow, so much for adding a few things, lol.
One more thing... does anyone know if Kellie's grandpa was there? I could have sworn that I saw him while waiting in line for autographs. I tried snapping a picture but he had turned, plue the camera wasn't taking great pictures outside.
I've attached some of the pictures, I'll attach the rest in another message.
Oh, okay, I didn't see him.
The man that I thought was her grandpa (dad's dad) came out before she started signing. I'll attach a picture, it's by no means a good picture but someone might be able to tell if it's him.

We really should all arrange to meet someplace around the next big concert in N.C.
Shannon, Clay, Brandy and I went looking for you at one point before the show. I probably saw you and didn't know it. I know I saw several faces that I thought I had seen before, from either the homecoming or the other concerts.
