This has been a a realy hard 3 weeks altogether and the story has concluded. The body found was that indeed the body of 12 year old Karissa. The family and friends all need prayers at this time and I am asking that wach and everyone of you please keep this fmaily close to your heart. Seeing them in this pain is horrible, and I would jsut pray you keep us all in your prayers.

That is terrible news, I'm awefully sorry for that family. I will pray for them and I will pray for justice as well so whoever have killed her will be brought to justice.

It's hard sometimes to believe that God has a reason for everything even in these tragic circumstances even though in your head you know that's true.

I will pray for all of those who are suffering this loss right now though. This is one of the worst possible things to happen surely.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Evil is in this world, it is here and it is everywhere. The murder of Karissa is just one example of the evil that happens every day.

The word evil, is not just the word opposite of good, but it also means destruction. If you think about it, evil done causes destruction in this world from the littlest deed such as steeling to war (the necessary evil sometimes), all are destructive in their own way.

Nikki (Pickled Pink) however made an excellent answer. Yesturday, over at Kellie cafe, she said that to make a better world, we have to do something against that as much as possible.

What we can all do, to counter against the grain of evil is to love each other. Love can inspire every good deed like the good Samaritan (1), inspire courage (2), make the commandments less burdensome (3), and shape one's character (4). Furthermore, it makes the unloved, loveable.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Therefore:

21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. - Romans 12:21

The funeral was held on Tuesday I believe, My grandfather was asked to do the funeral. thefuneralhoem could hold only 400 people, it was full and there were people outside listening on the speaker. She drew out a big crowd. she has touch the whole country in some way or another.

I jsut want to say thank you for all the prayers. They were much needed and the family is so thankful for all the support they have recieved.

The sad story though is not over as when something this tragic happens, there is a huge hole ripped in people's lives that are affected either directly or indirectly.

I will of course continue to pray that justice comes to whoever did this, and for the families and friends affected.

My thoughts were along the same lines as those of Ray on this.

Also, one of the names of Satan is Abadon which means the Destroyer!

I asked to join but never got added! People that do that are so disturbed. That girl Karissa is in heaven with God now. Heaven sounds like a nice place. God loves everyone no matter what.

Hi Emily, amen, God does love everyone, and I have no doubt in my mind that Karissa is in heaven. David, when he lost his son have refused to eat for days that the Lord might have mercy, but after the child died, he began to eat again. When asked of this sudden change of behavior, he said:

22 And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? *I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. - 2 Samuel 12:22-23

Jesus and the Perfect Storm

The Probability of Storm in our lives
-Believers are never to believe that we won’t have storms in our lives

- Don’t be surprised when the storm happens
- Storms doesn’t always mean that God is punishing you, they were in the storm not because they were punished but because they were doing right.
- Storms are a way God straightens our lives

The Presence of Storm in our Lives

- The Disciples have asked him in the way we do, “Jesus don’t you care, don’t you know that we are going through trouble?”
- It is interesting that here were other boats in the lake but the Jesus was in their boat
- Is Jesus in your boat?

The Peace in the Storm’s of Life
Mark 4:39
- Two miracles happened on that day, the wind stopped, and the waters were still
- The third miracle was a bit difficult: he calmed His disciples’ spirit.
- Dr Jeremiah noted that it is interesting to see that the disciples have seen many of the miracles that should have assured them of safety in the first place: Jesus healed the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, etc but in that storm, and on top of that, He created everything in the first place and they’ve seemed to forgotten that.
- Jesus is the peace in the mist of the storm

The Promise of the Storm in our Lives

35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

- Jesus promised that they are going, not in the middle of the lake but on the other side of the lake.
- “We should not forget that when we go through the storm, he goes through the storm with us, He is the very present help in the time of trouble”

The Purpose of Storms in our lives
- Jesus knew the storm was coming but He did not prevent it
- Some will ask, If He is God, and all powerful, then why didn’t He stop the storms? That’s because that is not good for us. A life lived without turmoil is a meaningless life.
- He aims to take away false happiness, he wants to show what true happiness means because while we live in a perfect life, we won’t submit to God
- Troubles makes us closer to Him, reprioritize, and more loving towards another
- We will Learn that GOD IS ENOUGH
Psalm 119:67, 71, & 95

- We learn more about God in the midst of the storm than we do at peace
- Is Jesus in your boat? Have Him as your Savior? If you’re saved, is He your Pilot?

It is interesting that his latest messege "Jesus' Mother", deals with Mary, mother of Jesus losing her son... this is to me, a miracle in timing.

Lauren, I think Karissa's family might benefit from that messege. Listen to it first and then decide if it is suitable for them.

Human wisdom is not all that bad, but it is limited by what he sees and hears. In the world of Philosopy, man seeks answers from the depts, the hights, and the mind yet cannot see that the Truth is not from within but from without. In the world of Science, the notion of an invisible being is laughable and illogical because he cannot be observed, experimented, tested, yet the signs of the creator is everywhere from the complexity of life to the magesty of the natural world.

Finally, in the world of Religion, man cannot seem to understand that from him, no good thing can come about, not because he can do no good but in God's eyes, he is sinful by nature. So man thinks he can reach God by his righteousness and not understanding that the very nature of God requires perfection to enter into His Kingdom. Yet, there is one religion that is the closest to God, Judaism. God revealed himself to Abraham and has said that he shall make a nation from him, and be the father of all Nations (Genesis 12:1-3) yet despite God choosing Israel as His people:

17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

The truth and the Answer to Life is God, sent down by the Father in the Person of Jesus Chrst:

39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. - John 9:39

Because of their wickedness and cruelty, no man can ever think of a murder or a traitor, deserving of salvation, but much less, one worth dying for but because of God's judgment, we are all guily, deserving of condemnation but God loved us so much that regardless of what we have done, he came down to die for our sins (Romans 5:6-7).

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

sorry I havn't been her lately, my computer was down for some time, I think it's finally fixed now! I guess I had too much Carrie and Kellie media and pictures

I trus tall of you are doing well, I pray everyngiht for the needs and concerns of everyone here.

It's been a hard month for my family. My uncle had been batteling MS for over 15 years, and he passed away about 2 weeks ago. We knew thae day had to come sometime, but nothing can ever prepare you for somethign like that. He had been a pastor up until it was too hard for him to get around. So please continuue to keep the family in your prayers.
