1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
12 ...all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
but...
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
...
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
When we Draw closer to the Lord, the more we are like Him; the more we are like Him, the more the world hates us because He is not of this world (5). One day, we will suffer persecution either by ridicule or by outright opposition. If not, we will experience trials, tribulations, and our faith will be tested but know that God is with us and the testing of our faith will make us stronger and stronger.
Kellie was made strong because of her Trust in the Lord, hitting her knees daily for guidence and help.
Place your faith in the God who delivered nations, heroes, and and the helpless; hope in the God that never fails those He loves. the strengthening of your faith is the shaping of your character
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Freedom of Humanity
Man has been given a gift called freedom. We are free to laugh, to cry, to express our joy, and our rage, even to God. However, our freedom we can certainly abuse; God says don’t steal, but men steal so if anyone asked you “Why has God allowed bad things to happen?” This is your answer.
As Christians, we too have that freedom but even more so. Before Grace, before Jesus Christ, we were under the Law of Moses and for those who doesn't know, their consciences are their Law (1):
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them (2).
Worse, if we fail or break any of the commandments, we are guilty of all of the commandments of God (3). The reason why the Rules are so hard to follow and keep is because that is how high God is in his righteousness. He is by Nature, the good God therefore, His rules are a reflection of His standards (4). but also it is to show us that we need a savior (5)
Thankfully, Jesus came down to earth to finish the Law and then dying to the Law so that the Law won't condemn us (6). He saves us by Living in us (7) and that His Holy Spirit dwells in us to prevent us from going any further (8).
Christian Freedom
Jesus paid the penalty for us and so there is nothing we can do to ever repay Him back. Through Him, we have Eternal life because before, if we sin we are in danger of eternal damnation so we have to repent. This time, we repent because it is right, and because we love Him so because He saved us, the least thing we can do is to worship Him, obey Him and share the life saving gospel to anyone who doesn’t know (9).
Now that we have Freedom from the Law, we should take our salvation seriously (10). Our freedom should not be a license to sin. Paul says:
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death (11)?
We have eternal life, that means if we die today or 50 years from now, will be in heaven. There is nothing we can do to lose our salvation because what He bought (12), He will never lose but that doesn’t mean God will not punish us
5 … My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Representation of Christ
We represent Christ whether inside of our homes or out. Everything we do reflects on God so if we say to the poor "be warmed and be filled... (14)" but we don't provide what they need, that will reflect badly on God and the church (15).
We are the hope that the world looks for; we are hold the truth that the world needs; therefore:
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. – Matthew 5:16

ll I am finally done exams and will be on more often, thank goodness, and I have a very important prayer request.
There was this woman and her Daughter that lived where my aunt lives. They went to their church. Well they moved away and live closer to me now. Last Sunday, the girl ( Karissa, 12 years old) and her mother Penny were going to the grocery store. They were having anormal mother daughter argument, but nothing big. Penny went into the store to get her daughter something ot drink. Karissa did not want to go int he store as usualy her mother said. When Penny returned. Karisssa wasnot in the car. She has been missing now for 8 days. She was last seen with only a black hoodie and oink crocs. She night after her disapperence, a huge snow storm hit.
This family is in dire need of prayers! knowing the family makes it even more difficult for me to imagine her out there alone.
The police see no need to jump to the conclusion that is was an abduction because the family is very new to the area. They believe she is a run away. but still even if she did run away somebody could have easily picked her up.
Please keep Karissa and the whole family in your prayers

But of course I will pray about this.
Also, I have a friend who is terribly depressed and needs prayer very badly.
I've lost contact with her and am very worried about her.
I'll pray for both Karissa and your friend Nikki. It is scary to think what can happen to a run away and to your friend who is facing extreme difficulty.
Now I must add my prayer request. A friend of mine is bleeding internally but the doctors does not know where the source is. For now, she's fine, still working, but nevertheless losing blood. How much I don't know

I guess God sent me to the right thread this morning.. I thank God for that...
Welcome Donna, We are open to any prayer requests or concerns you may have, don't feel they will burden anyone, that's what we are here for to help eachother. I will be praying for you and your family!
So will I. I'm sorry that you've gone through all those things; we've been going through tough times but we've managed to get through them only by His grace.
Feel free to unload your prayers and they will be prayed for.
Hello all, remember to pray for those affected by the Tornado that has already killed 55 people so far.
If any Kellie fan needs prayers, please post your name here, or the Christian Club. Let's all join in praying for those who lost their homes, lost their loved ones, those who are hurt, and those who are missing.
